Translation & Interpreting Services
Translation
When you have a document which requires translation, just send it to us for a quotation. You can either use the enquiry form here, or phone us on 0845 269 3585 with details. We'll tell you what the cost will be and how long it will take to complete the translation. When you've agreed the price and delivery time, we carry out the work for you!
Certified Translations
 |
Sometimes translations have to be certified. This is the case when translating identity documents such as birth or marriage certificates. If you're planning to get married on holiday, you'll need your certificates translating. The UK authorities expect translations to be certified by the translator to confirm authenticity. In many cases, KLS can provide a translator's certificate with these translations free of charge.
Occasionally, for example in a legal dispute, translations may require notarization. In this case, a Notary certifies the identity of the translator and the validity of the translation, and charges a fixed fee for this service. At KLS we can arrange this notarization for an additional fee. |
Computer-aided Translation
 |
Here at KLS we have the latest computer-aided translation software, but recognize that it has its limitations. When we're translating a repetitive text such as a product catalogue, or producing an update of an existing instruction manual, then good translation software can substantially reduce our workload (and the cost for the customer!). But it can’t be used in many cases, and can even be restrictive - for example, in advertising and marketing texts, where creativity takes priority. So its use must be considered individually for each text. |
Interpreting
 |
Do you have a business meeting coming up, or overseas visitors to your works? If so, you'll need an interpreter to be present. We can provide interpreters for your meetings in the language you need and with experience in your sector. Let us know your precise requirements, such as location of the meeting or visit, dates and approximate timings, and we will be pleased to quote for an interpreter. |
